It is in the Avast Settings for Update under Proxy Settings - hopefully from the attached image you may get an idea if you have a corresponding. I just wonder if this setting would be available in Avast for Mac. Whilst I don't use the Avast for Mac version, there is a means of selecting a proxy for the update in the Avast for Windows version.
